Akanzeriwaa Build Builsa Association” a non-profit, voluntary based local relief and development organization responsible for promoting sustainable livelihood and human dignity in Ghana have donated PPE’S to Some Senior High Schools and Health institutions in the Builsa North and South Districts of the Upper East Region.
The organization was established in January, 2015 by a group of young professionals to generate ideas and mobilize resources to support the development and progress of the Ghanaian society especially the Builsa community.
It also seeks to promote education, Health care, socio-economic development, accountable leadership, entrepreneurship and women empowerment to support the development agenda of Ghana.
Speaking on the sidelines of the donation exercise, president of the organisation Mad. Achula Abala said the donation exercise in the two Builsa Districts is the first of more donations in the near future.
She said with the outbreak of the deadly COVID-19 Pandemic, the group deemed it necessary to support the various institutions in the District help fight the disease.
The District Chief executive of Builsa South Hon. Daniel Kwame Gariba was excited that the group selected the Builsa South District as a beneficiary of the donation exercise.
He added that, the development of communities and Ghana is a shared responsibility hence government’s resolve to work with the private sector and nongovernmental organisations in order to bring the needed development to our various communities.
The group donated Veronica buckets, liquid soap, hand sanitizers, bleach and facemask mask to the Fumbisi Health Centre, St.Lucas Hospital in Waiga, the Sandema Hospital,Chuchuliga Health centre, Fumbisi Senior High Agric school, Wiaga Senior High school, Sandema Senior High School, Sandema Senior Secondary Technical School and the persons living with disabilities in the Builsa North and south Districts.
Heads of the various institutions and organisations thanked the group for the donation and pledged to use the items for the intended purpose.
